大家好，今天的明星学员Vivi。来自苏州。我想每个人都会站在属于自己人生的分岔路口上，不管你做出何种选择，但我相信，选择好好读书认真学习的那条路绝对不会是你人生最坏的路。如果你足够认真、足够努力，对于普通平凡的我们来说甚至是人生最好的那条路。
 

所以一年前我选择来到了沃尔得，感受就是这边的教学十分灵活，我的Tutor也一直在给我学习的动力，鼓励我可以多多参加英语角。说到英语角我觉得很棒，上完小班课想休息一下的时候就可以去听听英语角，中教课很实用，外教课也有很多思路启发，告诉你中外教的区别，让你更清楚自己要表达什么。

我觉得学习是一件很私密的事儿，你只能自己独自去完成，没有任何人能帮你去看一本书、去背一个单词。拿出一本英语书，拿出一支笔，坐在书桌前一个人开始学习，不管在学习什么，至少那一刻的我，和自己相处觉得内心特别满足。

Q1: Please give us a brief introduction about yourself.

I am a freelancer, engaged in the food and insurance industry. I like travelling, like food, like animals, like making friends. I am a careless girl, but have outgoing personality. I believe that girls who love to laugh usually have good luck.

Q2: Can you make some comments on your English learning?

I started to learn English when I was in the third grade of primary school. At that time, there were no English classes at school, so the teacher alone asked some students with good academic performance to help them. I have been learning English for 13 years since I graduated from the university, and I am quite proficient in grammar. However, I am lack of practical oral training. Even when I meet foreigners, I don’t dare to speak English and usually become "mute English”.

Q3: Why do you come here to learn English?

The more I travel, the more I realize the importance of English. I like to go to different places to enjoy life, but I have to be good at English to communicate with others when I go abroad. After I have been to South Korea for several times alone, I feel more and more that I need to improve my oral English. Although many foreigners can speak Chinese now, it would be better if I can speak fluent English. So out of pure interest, I came to world.

Q4: Do you have any other plan for your future English learning?

In the future, what I need to improve the most is my vocabulary. In many cases, it's embarrassing that I can't remember how to say a word when I want to say it. For many years I did not use English, a lot of words have been forgotten. In addition, I think watching more American TV series is also a way, I like American pronunciation, like to listen to Americans speak English. To find more opportunities to communicate with foreigners, I advise that you don't be shy, and talk more.
 

陈绮贞有一首歌叫《旅行的意义》，我想学习的意义就是过上自己想过的生活，对于我们这样的普通人来说，人生真的没有太多的选择。自己要抓住每一个机会，而学习，就是那个最普遍的一条康庄大道，不过可能它真的太具有普适性，所以有人总会轻松放弃掉。

你放弃的可能真不是学习这件事儿，你放弃的可能还是另一个完全不同的人生的自己。最后我想说，对于普通人，唯一能依靠的就真的只有自己了，而自己能仰仗的可能就是别人觉得谁都可以做到的努力了。但是自己会把它发挥到极致，不说为了什么，至少对得起自己。

我想十年后的我一定会感谢现在的我，感谢十年前那个伏在伏在书桌前苦背单词反复练习口语的那个自己。
